Writing Exercise: Color List - White

Even though there still is no snow outside here in Chicago, the color for this month is going to be white, perhaps because at this point I am really craving white! Snow, snow, snow!

For the uninitiated, the idea is to come up with ways to evoke white without mentioning the color itself since one of the challenges of writing effective descriptions is getting the color just right. Each month on this blog we work on one color, so far we’ve done, gray, brown, orange, red, green, pink, blue, and yellow.

Here's my little start for white, and I am curious to see what you will contribute:

    Jennifer - chalk (Even though it comes in different colors, I think you're right in that you do think of white when you hear "chalk." And that's the idea.)

  11. I loved the suggestions of dandruff, marshmallows, and cottage cheese from Jennifer. I can just image what different situations those descriptions would be perfect for :)
