Congrats! I'll head on over.
Okay. Read it. The flow was very nice. I could also feel your frustrations, worries and anticipation.
A fascinating read, Annette. Anyone who has waited in a hospital while a loved one is in surgery would relate to it. You brought me back to the times when I did it. We see both the serious side of this rare occurrence that Harry had and also the everyday bits about your life, too. The whole thing about the toes was great and gave you the perfect ending. I'm surprised that it was not published somewhere long before this. A very fine piece.www.writergrannysworld.blogspot.com
Absolutely LOVED this essay! Really enjoyed it from start to finish and I'm so happy Harry's okay! :-)
Forgot to add: the ending was perfect!
Congratulations- it was a GREAT read- you had me hooked from beginning to end. I loved so many different parts of the essay. The way you interwove the tale of your hubby's hospital adventures and your waiting...it was so well done! I did love the ending- such a perfect end.
Shelly, Nancy, Julia, Anjuli - thanks for reading and for your comments. I'm especially glad to hear that you liked the ending because I changed that pretty recently.
Wonderful essay, Annette -- not the event, of course, but the capturing of it. Congratulations!
